É O QUE ME VALE

A senhora,já de oitenta anos,merecia um elogio. E foi o que se fez. É que acabara de facilitar a vida a alguns de menos idade. Tem aí uma cabecinha de invejar. Tomaram-na muitos,velhos e novos. Pois é. O pior é o que me espera lá em casa. O meu marido está taralhouco,sem dizer coisa com coisa. Só me atrapalha a vida. Mas a minha desgraça não se fica por aqui,embora esta já me chegasse. Vejam lá os trabalhos em que estou metida. Para além do velho,ainda tenho a meu cargo um filho de cinquenta anos que endoidou de todo. Não sei porque Deus me destinou este fardo. O que é que se havia de dizer ,perante desdita tamanha,para a confortar? Um ainda se atreveu. Para a compensar,Deus deu-lhe tino e vigor para dar conta de tais trabalhos. É o que me vale.

CANA DE PESCA

Estava-se no fim do mês e o dinheirinho da magra reforma ainda só acenava, mas lá muito ao longe,que mal se via. De maneira que ele se via obrigado a esgravatar onde lhe cheirasse haver coisa de préstimo. E,naquele início de tarde,calhou passar por um contentor,talvez um dos que mais surpresas costumava reservar. Levantou a tampa e inspecionou. Lá viu,mais uma vez,qualquer coisa de aproveitar. Mas os seus braços eram de fraco alcance,pelo que necessitava de uma cana de pesca. Olhou em volta e descobriu-a. Tratava-se de uma estreita tábua com um forte prego bem ao alto,feito arpão. E foi simples. E um grande marmelo viu,de novo,a luz do dia. Não estaria todo como devia ser,mas ele lá teria artes para recuperar coisa que se visse.
